Take me down to a lazy river
Let me swing from a knotted rope
Jump from a bridge or a rocky outcrop
Let the water my body engulf

Allow the gentle current to carry us
Downstream to a sandy bank
Where the tall oaks shade us in the sunlight
And the cooler is full of frosty drinks

Let’s spend all day in our swimsuits
Frolic and splash until we’ve had our fill
Build a campfire to gather ‘round at sunset
Make our supper on a fiery grill

And as the moon hangs above our heads
And the stars bid us each a good, dreamy night
Let’s lie down and listen to the river
And thank it for such a day of delight
